Es enthält - auf der Basis eines Vortrages von Dr. Christian Klesse aus dem Jahr 2016 - eine mögliche Kategorisierung von Polyamorie in Praxis / Beziehungsmodell / Liebesstil / Beziehungsphilosophie / umkämpfter Diskurs / sozio-sexuelle Identität / sexuelle Orientierung und liefert eine von Ossmann geschriebene und bis jetzt nicht exisierende umfassende Defintion von Polyamorie, die lautet: (im englischen Original) 'Polyamory is a consensual relationship between more than two people based on emotional love and intimate acts over a longer period of time' siehe Seiten 363 und 377).

Die authorisierte deutschsprachige Übersetzung (die sich zum Beispiel hier findet) lautet: 'Polyamorie ist eine konsensuale Beziehung zwischen mehr als zwei Personen, basierend auf emotionaler Liebe und intimen Praktiken über einen längeren Zeitraum hinweg'.
